My goal as an editor and publishing consultant is to help writers solve every problem that may be keeping their book or other project from reaching its greatest potential, both creatively and in today’s commercial marketplace.
I work with:
- Fiction writers
- Writers of nonfiction (proposals and full manuscripts)
- Publishers (all levels of editing)
- Agents (“problem” projects)
- Businesspeople and professionals (business, sales, and marketing materials)
My specialties include: mainstream, literary, and popular fiction; screenplays; spirituality, health and medicine, current events, psychology, and memoirs; and self-published fiction and nonfiction.
I offer a complete range of editing services, from in-depth, one-on-one developmental guidance to line-editing for fiction, nonfiction, and screenplays. I also work actively with writers to find agents, publishers, and film deals.
I’m formerly the executive editor of Writers Lifeline, a division of AEI, a Angeles-based literary management firm, and am also a published writer with a background in journalism in the United States, China, and Hong Kong. In addition to newspaper and magazine articles, I am coauthor of The Ideal Entrepreneurial Business for You (Wiley).
I’ve offered presentations on writing and getting published at numerous writers’ groups, including the Santa Barbara Writers Conference, the International Women Writers Guild, the Pasadena City College Writers Forum, the SouthWest Writers Conference, the LA Writers Conference, and Independent Writers of Southern California (IWOSC).
